FAMILY ROOM
BEFORE
Personal
photos were removed from the walls and replaced by a large print,
wall sconces, and an over-sized clock. A round ottoman took the place of the original rectangular coffee table and an old trunk
from the basement was re-purposed as an end table. Pillows were
purchased to add pattern, colour, and texture to the leather sofa. The rocking chair was moved to another room, along with the black occasional chair that was blocking the entrance to the room. Finally, a sisal rug was added to define this inviting
seating area.

BEFORE
The goal of this redesign was to make the space more intimate and inviting, First, the walls were painted a welcoming yellow. Then, the carpet was rotated and the sofa and chairs were moved away from the walls so they flanked the fireplace. The rocking chair and side table were placed together to make a cozy reading corner. A low shelving unit was purchased to house the stereo equipment on the wall behind the sofa. Finally, art work and an antique clock were brought in from elsewhere in the home.

"Michelle,
from Creative Stage Solutions, has an eye for design and the simple
solution. She rearranged the furniture in my living room, and moved
some artwork, creating a wonderful new look and feel in the room.
Friends who came over that evening asked, 'When did you get new furniture? It looks so nice!'"
Eleanor Liddy, Victoria BC

BATHROOM TUB BEFORE In this redesign, the clients wished to incorporate treasured accessories from their previous life overseas. Middle Eastern themed prints were hung over the tub and the toilet. We purchased orchid floral arrangements to sit on the counter and beside the tub. Two Moroccan candle lamps from their collection of many were placed on the remaining corners of the tub. Finally, towels and a bathmat matching the adjoining bedroom's navy and white colour scheme were added.

BEDROOM
BEFORE
The client in this redesign wanted to transform her office/study into a cozy main bedroom. First, the room was painted a warm yellow. We recycled a wooden door into the headboard and constructed the window treatment from foam core board covered in fabric. Finishing touches included two sets of decorative cushions. Final result: a delighted client with a new and cheery bedroom all her own.
FRONT DOOR
Stu and Monica N., Calgary AB "My husband and I LOVE our newly configured and updated living room. You were so imaginative in finding a way to create just one focal point and, at the same time, use our existing furniture, paintings and decorative items to create a stunning new look...you took the time to listen to how we used our home and made every effort to include our favourite pieces in the living room." Gillian Crowley, Sidney, BC xx

BEFORE
Staging this front door was a simple matter of clearing away debris, power
washing the concrete, repainting the door, and adding plants and an attractive
mat.

"I love, love, love my new bathroom! You took the time to understand my priorities and my likes and dislikes and came up with ideas that were a perfect fit for me. Thank you so much!" Kathy Cochran, Regina SK xxx DINING ROOM/KITCHEN The client requested paint colour suggestions to inject some pizzazz into her new home. "During our consultation, Michelle really focused on what MY ideas and desires were. Not only did she bring a lot of resources,
but she took my ideas, desires, decorating and furniture style into
consideration to create a new color scheme for my house. By using digital pictures of my home and editing software,
Michelle was able to show me what a room or area would look like painted a
certain color. This was extremely helpful, saved me a lot of time, and
gave me the confidence to go ahead with the colour I’d chosen." Lindsay Dennison, Sooke, BC

BATHROOM
VANITY
BEFORE
Making over this space started with removing fake plants, a metal shelving unit and the paper cup dispenser attached to the mirror. Products scattered on the vanity were
sorted, placed into baskets and moved to new shelves installed above the toilet. A decorative print and
coordinating towels were purchased, along with dispensers for soap, hand lotion and paper cups. The valance and lace sheers on the window were removed and replaced by an opaque film adhered to the glass. These updates changed this dark and
cluttered ensuite bathroom to a light and elegant space, perfect for pampering.
